Dark Chocolate Violet Creams

The violet creams (and the rose ones, which I've subsequently purchased) are a lovely texture and have a beautiful flavour.

Please don't change the recipe because of the 4* review below! These chocolates are the perfect ratio of cream to chocolate. If the chocolate on the top was thinner to hold more cream the chocolate to cream balance would be too sweet.

I bought these for my wife's birthday and she says they are the best Violet creams she has ever had.

The flavour was good, but the chocolate on the top was much too thick. The rest of the chocolate case was just the right thickness, however. If the top chocolate had been thinner there would have been more space forthe filling. I'm glad there were real crystallised violets on the top, as some producers use icing instead. Your picture shows a much deeper filling than the actuality.
