Hamiltons 25th Anniversary
2011 marks the 25th Anniversary of Hamiltons Chocolates Ltd.
Hamiltons opened its doors for the first time on the 12th June 1986 in Broadway, a small historic village on the edge of the Cotswolds. We are still trading there today as an old fashioned sweet shop selling all types of sweets, confectionery and delicious handmade chocolates which we make in our factory in Alcester, Warwickshire. Andrew and Sheila Campbell, who established Hamiltons all those years ago, are still as enthusiastic about the business as they ever were. They are still eager to come up with new ideas and recipes for new products. They work together in every aspect of the Hamiltons business and they live and breathe luxury chocolate (unlike most people who rely on common a garden air!!)
One of the first testimonials that Andrew and Sheila received was in July 1986 when Stella Chapman, Great Yarmouth, wrote,
"About two weeks ago we spent the day in your lovely village and we came into your sweet shop. My boyfriend purchased some Champagne Creams from you and couldn't get over how lovely they were."
It would be really interesting to hear from Stella and from anyone else who might remember coming into the shop in Broadway 25 years ago when it first opened. Andrew and Sheila would be delighted to hear from you. We can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stella, if you are out there (maybe you married your boyfriend?), please get in touch. Our Champagne creams are still as good as you remember them to be!
